California Bureau Of Cannabis Control Announces First Public Meeting Of 2019

California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control has announced that the Cannabis Advisory Committee (Committee) will be holding its first public meeting of the year on March 27 at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West. The last meeting took place on November 8, 2018.

Anyone is allowed to attend the meeting and participate, though seating is limited and admission cannot be guaranteed.

The Committee will be discussing and possibly taking action regarding the election of a Cannabis Advisory Committee Chair and Vice Chair. Matters related to the Cannabis Advisory Committee Handbook and 2019 meeting recommendations are also on the agenda.

Senior Safety Engineer for the Cal/OSHA Research and Standards Occupational Health Unit, Amalia Neidhardt will be attending the meeting to give an informational presentation entitled Worker Health and Safety in the Cannabis Industry.

There will be a public comment period near the end of the meeting for items not included in the agenda, and attendees may request to comment on any issue at the time it is being discussed.
