The implementation of legal cannabis is an ongoing process of trial and error, and in California, the Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC) has been asking for public input since state regulations went into full effect in July.

The California Cannabis Control Appeals Panel will be hosting a meeting on Wednesday, October 17 where the agenda will include a presentation of the state cannabis licensing framework and a public hearing regarding proposed regulations for appeals procedures and timelines.

The meeting will mark the end of the 45-day public comment period for the regulations. The Panel will be deciding whether to adopt the rules as they are presented or alter them as they deem necessary.

The BCC concluded a separate comment period in August regarding the agency’s non-emergency regulations.

The public is free to attend the meeting and offer comments on issues being discussed, though speaking time may be limited.

For those wishing to attend and participate in the meeting, seating is limited and cannot be guaranteed for all attendees if the auditorium reaches capacity.
