A California producer of botanically-derived terpenes has become the first terpene distributor to offer its full catalog on Weedmaps’ wholesale platform.
Irvine-based ABSTRAX today announced the listing of its full catalog of terpenes on Weedmaps’ WM Exchange (WME).
WME is part of the Weedmaps Business product suite that focuses on connecting licensed wholesale buyers and sellers.
Federal regulations prohibit the distribution of ABSTRAX’s cannabis-derived terpenes outside of California, but those extracted from orange, lemon, mango, and other fruits are available nationwide.
“We are delighted to have ABSTRAX onboard, our relationship with them is a step forward in further establishing WM Business as the optimal solution for cannabis retailers and brands to efficiently run and scale their business,” says WeedMaps CTO Justin Dean. “We believe WM Exchange will become an essential part of the overall WM Business SaaS Portfolio as our retail and brand clients alike look to make wholesale discovery and distribution a more seamless process.”
ABSTRAX’s terpene blends available on WME include Wedding Cake, Tropic Thunder, Super Lemon Haze, and Strawberry Cheesecake.
According to ABSTRAX, each blend offers a “highly unique sensorial experience.”
ABSTRAX says that consistent-quality terpene production is possible due to its state-of-the-art Type 7 laboratory and formulation team.
Company co-founder and CEO Max Koby says that ABSTRAX’s blends are growing in popularity because they are innovative and extremely consistent.
Koby says that brands can access and experiment with terpenes in new and exciting ways, radically changing how their products perform and what experience they deliver.
“We are able to recreate the most popular cannabis strains using either both cannabis-derived and botanically-derived terpenes,” says Koby. “Providing brands with the ability to create and recreate unforgettable sensorial experiences for their customers.”
Koby says that ABSTRAX’s mission is to educate companies on the numerous benefits of terpenes and how to best use them in their products.
