Any differences that boxing icon Mike Tyson and MMA fighter Conor McGregor may have had in the past have gone up in smoke after the two met face to face in Ireland over the weekend.
McGregor attended a talk hosted by Tyson at the Helix in Dublin on Friday where the two hashed out past problems over a bottle of Conor’s Proper No. Twelve whiskey and some of Mike’s KO Kush.
“You spoke some things about me in the past which I did not like and I was happy to speak to you face to face, put it to bed and have some fun,” wrote McGregor in an Instagram post. “You are in good spirits and I was happy to see this!”
McGregor is currently out of competition and awaiting punishment for his involvement in a post-match brawl at UFC 229 in Las Vegas in October, so he was not shy about openly partaking in a substance that MMA fighters are restricted from using.
“It was an honour to taste it and I wish you and your team the best with this endeavour,” wrote McGregor. “Just remember, if someone tries to rip you. Rip their nose off their face. You are a fighting icon and deserve endless love and respect!”
“Thanks for coming to the show,” responded Tyson in an Instagram post. “I’m glad you enjoyed my @tysonranchofficial KO kush.”
After California legalized cannabis in 2016, Tyson and his associates bought a 40-acre ranch in California City for cultivation, extraction, and edible manufacturing and broke ground on December 1, 2017.
