Los-Angeles-based canine CBD company Dope Dog announced on Wednesday that they are joining with Deity Animal Rescue to hold the first-ever Yappy Hour event for dogs in need later this month.
The event will take place on Wednesday, September 18 at Deity Dogs and Goods in Beverly Hills from 6 to 9 p.m.
Dope Dog co-founders Erin Mastopietro and Michael Benatar will be hosting the event in honor of the company’s second anniversary.
Mastropietro and Benatar created Dope Dog to help with health issues that pets experience such as joint and back pain.
Regular tickets to the Yappy Hour event cost $5 and include a glass of wine; VIP tickets cost $10 and include a glass of wine and special party favor.
All proceeds will go toward funding Deity Animal Rescue operations which include medical bills, food, and other costs associated with saving and caring for dogs in need.
Diety is a Los Angeles-based non-profit rescue organization focused on rescuing, rehabilitating, and placing shelter dogs into caring homes.
Co-founders Ellen Ballon Dante and Lindsay Bird also started a jewelry line to help fund Deity.
Some of Bird and Dante’s jewelry pieces will be available for purchase at the Yappy Hour event along with apparel and various dog treats from Dope Dog and other brands.
Deity Animal Rescue is dog-friendly and pet owners are welcome to bring their dogs to the event.
Additionally, there will be puppies running around the event that will be up for adoption.
