Illinois Issues First Cannabis Transportation License

Illinois has issued its first cannabis transportation license.

In a press release, ACC of Illinois founder Victoria Williams this week announced that she had become the first to receive a cannabis transportation license.

The license will permit Williams’ business to transport cannabis and cannabis-infused products on behalf of other cannabis businesses in Illinois.

“I am so excited to take this step forward not just for my business, but for the entire cannabis industry in the state of Illinois,” says Williams. “I’m also very proud to represent my community as a black woman, an educator, and a businesswoman.”

According to the release, Williams and her partners at ACC of Illinois have developed essential educational platforms and training programs over the past six years for participation in the cannabis business.

Williams is also the author of Cooking with a Twist, Cannabis Puzzles, How to Start a Daycare Sis!, and the ACC Illinois Dispensary Training Manual.

According to Williams, the primary goal is to address the lack of information regarding cannabis education and business, especially within black and brown communities.

Williams says that she and her partners at ACC of Illinois have dedicated themselves to providing education, training, and networking opportunities to people affected most by cannabis criminalization.
