A new hospitality-focused dispensary experience is coming to California.
California cannabis wellness brand Papa & Barkley has partnered with Humboldt Social to launch Papa & Barkley Social (PBS).
Humboldt Social is a group of businesses in Humboldt County that aims to normalize connections between cannabis and hospitality.
Elevating Hospitality
Located inside a 7,000 square-foot space in Papa & Barkley’s Eureka production and manufacturing facility, PBS is a cannabis retail concept that features lush greenery, natural lighting, a curated dispensary, tasting room, day spa, food truck, and onsite consumption lounge.
The dispensary will stock Papa & Barkley’s full line of natural solventless Releaf products, including extracts, balms, tinctures, chocolates, gummies, and skincare products.
PBS says that the shop will also support and stock products from women-led farms Dewpoint, Sunrise Mountain Farms, and Emerald Queen Farms.
The shop will also carry Humboldt Social’s Social Nature line of products.
Papa & Barkley Founder Adam Grossman says the experience is a new concept for California.

Relax, Rejuvenate, Refresh
In addition to the full line of products in the dispensary, PBS will offer cannabis-infused massages and beauty treatments at the day spa.
There is also a patio area where guests can have fresh salads and roasted meats from the Pig + Leaf food truck.
Guests can also enjoy cannabis products in a relaxed social setting at the PBS outdoor consumption lounge.
Humbolt Social Co-Founder and CEO Aaron Sweat says the company is thrilled to bring its brand of hospitality to Papa & Barkley’s main manufacturing facility to launch an upscale dispensary in the space.
“We gave a lot of thought to the design and wanted to disrupt the cannabis landscape with a totally new experience,” says Sweat. “We are proud of Humboldt and our sun-grown cannabis. We sought to celebrate local cannabis by creating a beautiful, open-feeling dispensary and pairing it with great amenities. The space, which is divided into 4 areas, is inviting. It’s a place where the community can gather. This is the future of cannabis as we see it.”
Papa & Barkley Social will have its official grand opening on Thursday, May 6.
