San Diego Cannabis Farmers Market, and the Originals San Diego are hosting a beach cleanup in Ocean Beach, California. This event was created to highlight the importance for cannabis brands to not only engage with the community but to give back and lead by example. Volunteers are welcomed to join the event in Ocean Beach at Seedless Co. on July 17th, Saturday, from 11am-1pm.
We highly encourage all of the community and industry to show up and help give back to our city by cleaning our beaches.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Mask/Cloth face covering, gloves, 60% alcohol-based hand sanitizer, grabbers (if you have them), trash bags, water to stay hydrated, sunscreen
- Wear gloves. We cannot stress this safety precaution enough. Viruses can live on hard surfaces, and individuals should exercise extreme caution when collecting litter. Wearing gloves discourages you from touching your face or face covering.
- Grabbers are a good way to minimize contact between your gloves and trash items. Sanitize these after use and before transport or storage.
HISTORY:
The Farmers Cup has been successful at bringing cannabis brands together to compete in multiple categories for over 5 years now. The 710 Farmer’s Cup 710 is the 4th virtual cup since 2020, and expects to host 30 Extract brands. Each event has brought many cannabis businesses and cannabis community members together with a goal to strengthen and create new relationships while educating all about the many benefits of the Cannabis industry and cannabis itself.
