A group of armed attackers tied and locked up workers for four hours at a cultivation site in Ontario, Canada on Thursday morning according to Durham Regional Police.

At around 6 a.m. on Thursday, workers at a grow operation near Concession Road 4 and Highway 12 east of Beaverton were approached by a group of five men carrying firearms.

The men tied the workers up and locked them into a security trailer before ransacking their personal belongings and taking several bags of cannabis from a nearby storage bin.

The workers were able to free themselves and contact the police but not before the suspects were able to steal one of their cars and escape. Police later located the vehicle some distance away from the scene.

The first suspect is described as a 5’10”, 140lb white male with gray hair and a French accent between the ages of 40 and 45 years old.

Workers described the second man, who they had last seen wearing a ski mask, as being a white male between 32 and 35 years old with short black hair and a full beard.

The workers described the other three suspects only as male.

Durham Region Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers or call the department at 1-888-579-1520.
