San Diego-based Cannabis Nurses Network (CNN) announced on Friday the launch of an online education program and their new #futuremillionRN campaign which aims to teach one-million nurses about the endocannabinoid system and cannabinoid therapeutics by 2025.
Established in 2015, CNN is a professional development organization with a focus on educating nurses on cannabis science and its practical applications in patient care and providing a global nursing support network.
The program, “Rooted in Science, Nourished by Knowledge,” is approved for 10.64 nursing contact hours and covers topics presented at the Cannabis Nurses Network Conference 2019 including essential cannabis knowledge, clinical recommendations, administration, and ethical considerations.
“Cannabis Nurses Network is leading a revolution in healthcare from a nursing perspective, said CNN founder and CEO, Heather Manus. “We are feeding the minds and reaching the hearts of nurses through shared knowledge; inspiring and empowering them through education and opportunities to be recognized for their exceptional work, expertise, dedication and contribution to the healthcare revolution inspired by cannabis science and medicine.”
Rooted in Science, Nourished by Knowledge is available for pre-order for a National Nurses Week discount of $125 until May 13 when the price goes up to $200 for CNN members and $250 for non-members.
