The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) raided three separate cannabis dispensaries in the city of Oildale, California on September 26, arresting five individuals and confiscating hundreds of pounds of marijuana and other related products in the process.
KCSO executed search warrants at the BMC, Green Frog, and Kush King dispensaries Friday, confiscating 281.5 pounds of marijuana flower, 1,228 packages of edibles, and 17,864.5 grams of cannabis concentrates.
Officers also discovered forty-three cannabis plants, a firearm, and more than $45,000 in cash during the raids.
37-year-old Enrique Lizarra Jr., 27-year-old Carlos Villanueva, and 27-year-old Jerry Raney were arrested on misdemeanor charges of marijuana sales and county ordinance violations before being cited and released.
Officers arrested 60-year-old Jeffrey Ross for misdemeanor sales and ordinance violations before releasing him. Ross is also facing possible felony charges related to maintaining a place for the purpose of sales.
50-year-old Patrick Murphy was arrested on felony charges of maintaining a place for the purpose of marijuana sales, felony conspiracy, and misdemeanor cannabis sales, employment of individuals under the age of 21, and county ordinance violations.
