Ever since the 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law, cannabidiol (CBD) products have been making their way into the inventories of an ever-growing roster of mainstream retail outlets including CVS, Walgreens, Abercrombie & Fitch, and American Eagle Outfitters.
Airport concessionaire Minute Suites can now be added to the list.
Minute Suites, which has six locations in the United States, provides airline travelers with private post-security suites where they can sleep, relax, or work before their flight or during a layover.
The company also offers a variety of travel products such as personal care and grooming items, beauty products, portable chargers, and headphones.
On Thursday, Minute Suites announced that it will begin offering CBD products at its locations inside Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) by the end of August 2019.
Minute Suites says that the soon-to-be-available CBD products are a part of its commitment to travelers’ health and a natural wellness-based solution to stress and fatigue caused by air travel.
“We are fortunate to pioneer the availability of CBD products at ATL,” says Minute Suites COO Chris Glass. “CBD has proven effective in treating symptoms to many mental and physical health issues, as well as improving people’s overall well-being. It fits our wellness mission.”
CBD products sold at Minute Suites locations will be in compliance with the 2018 Farm Bill and TSA guidelines.
Minute Suites is the first concessionaire to offer CBD products inside of a U.S. airport.
