Las Vegas-based Hemp Inc. has announced that its subsidiary, The Hemp University, will be returning to Ashland, Oregon on Sunday, September 8 for The Pre-Harvest Symposium workshop at Southern Oregon University.
Previous Hemp University workshops have also been hosted in North Carolina and Arizona.
The upcoming symposium, which is geared toward farmers and entrepreneurs of varying experience levels, will focus on harvesting, processing, and profit channels within the hemp industry.
Traditional practices in agriculture will also be covered during the Symposium.
Panel speakers for the Symposium will include Coleman Hemphill of the Texas Hemp Industries Association, Amy Pascal of Cascade Hemp, and Ajit Singh of MediSun Farms.
Vendors from all aspects of the hemp industry will be featured in the Entrepreneur’s Market, offering farmers the opportunity to select high-quality cultivation goods.
“The Pre-Harvest Symposium is a unique opportunity that helps align business partnerships, educate newcomers and offer support to farmers,” said Hemp, Inc. CEO Bruce Perlowin. “We love hosting these events because it helps provide a solid platform for all sectors and levels within the hemp industry to be profitable, knowledgeable and prepared. This is the third Hemp University we have hosted this year in Ashland and the success of past events has proven the demand for these types of workshops in this growing industry.”
Perlowin says that there are around 4,400 licenses and 54,000 acres of hemp in Southern Oregon which demonstrate the potential of the lucrative crop and prove the demand for additional education in the growing industry as an increasing number of farmers delve into hemp production.
Early Bird tickets for The Hemp University’s Pre-Harvest Symposium are available for $120 until August 13.
General admission tickets will be available for $155 after August 13 until they are sold out.
