HempBox, High Street Roll Out CBD Vending Machines

Cannabidiol (CBD) vending machines are coming to Ohio outlet malls.

Santa Monica, California-based Green Globe International, Inc. (GGII) and Columbus, Ohio-based High Street CBD today announced a partnership to place CBD vending machines in select Tanger Outlets.

A New Way to Buy CBD

Initially, High Street, which owns and operates two CBD shops in Columbus, and GGII will install the vending machines for a 90-day trial.

Following the trial, High Street and GGII subsidiary HempBox plan to put the CBD vending machines in more than 30 Tanger Outlets locations across the United States.

GGII says the partnership will further its mission of developing consumer packaged goods and disrupting tobacco.

In addition to vending CBD products, the machines will also feature educational content to expand consumer knowledge.

GGII CEO Sandro Piancone says High Street and HempBox are excited about the joint vending machine venture as it solves the problems of CBD sales and purchases.

“First, each vending machine will feature multiple video screens,” says Piancone. “The first, atop the machine, will offer educational videos highlighting the difference between CBD and THC and the benefits of CBD. Second, the vending machines stop the theft problem from consumers and employees in all retail establishments.”

Education and Retail

Piancone says the advertising can educate people shopping or walking through the outlet center.

With the machines providing 30 seconds of educational content, Piancone says they are a great point of sale opportunity where customers can buy products to try on the spot.

In addition to the educational video screens, Piancone says the vending machines will feature a touch screen for product purchases.

According to GGII and High Street, the joint venture will drive traffic to the vending machines rather than waiting for customers to pass by.

The companies say they will unveil ad campaigns to send customers directly to the vending machines through targeted online marketing.

With each vending machine having a unique IP address, they will also show up in online searches like High Street’s brick-and-mortar stores.

“GGII and High Street CBD understand the significance of education in the emerging CBD market,” says Green Globe Chairman of the Board Dr. Stuart Titus. “In Ohio, there are still many who need to know the difference between THC and CBD, psychoactive and non-psychoactive cannabis, and how these non-psychoactive cannabinoids interact with the body’s internal self-regulatory system, the endogenous cannabinoid system, and the multiple receptor sites within us.”
