On April 2nd Sustainable Culture hosted a virtual hemp fashion show from the Big House in Los Angeles, CA.
This earth-conscious fashion event was a collaboration lead by Cross Colours co-creator, The Hemp Twins, The Industrial Hemp Alliance, & TJ Walker, along with the amazing designers of LA Trade Tech College.
The group is on a mission to link the hemp industry with entrepreneurs, in style. The Industrial Hemp Alliance (IHA) collaborated with The Club Couture for this event which had been planned for March 2020 but canceled due to COVID. Together they delivered hemp fabric to the Los Angeles Trade Technical College designers and brought about this amazing event.
Below we’ve included some exclusive shots from the event and a video where Los Angeles Trade Tech students talk about their experience designing sustainably through COVID. They also discuss the importance of this collaboration, and how hemp, as a textile, was used in their clothing and accessory designs.
