The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) is looking for a final suspect in their investigation of a cannabis grow site robbery that happened last week where multiple victims were held at gunpoint.
On Thursday, September 17, suspect Louis Bagliere and his son Tyler went to The Black Oak Ranch, which is located on a rural property near Laytonville, California, with two adult males identified as Lathiaro White and Anthony Watson.
Black Oak Ranch is the site of the annual Enchanted Forest Gathering festival and other events.
After arriving at the property, the suspects brandished firearms and demanded money from the victims, holding them at gunpoint.
According to MCSO, one of the suspects discharged their firearm at or near one of the victims during the incident.
The suspects eventually left the property with 20 pounds of stolen cannabis, stating that they would return in two days.
As promised, Tyler Bagliere returned to the property on Saturday, September 19, with three other armed adult males, two of whom were later identified as Christopher Stewert and Deangelo Villalona.
A third-and-currently-unidentified adult male suspect who was present at the time demanded payment from the victims and discharged a firearm at or near them.
MCSO deputies were dispatched to the property at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday when they began their investigation and interviewed the victims.
MCSO lists the victims as three adult males, one adult female, and one juvenile female, all of whom were held at gunpoint by the suspects for hours.
None of the victims were said to have sustained physical injures during either incident on Thursday or Saturday.
The California Highway Patrol, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Mendocino County Inter-Agency SWAT team, and personnel from the Sheriff’s Office Investigations Bureau also assisted in the investigation of the incidents.
Law enforcement reports discovering evidence at the scene that corroborated statements from the victims.
During their continuing investigation, law enforcement stopped a van that was attempting to leave the area.
Officers located Louis Bagliere, Lathiaro White, and Anthony Watson inside the vehicle along with a handgun and multiple rifles equipped with large-capacity magazines.
Tyler Bagliere was arrested and charged with armed robbery in concert, assault with a deadly weapon, felony child endangerment, and criminal threats.
Lathiaro White, Anthony White, Deangelo Villalona, and Christopher Stewart were arrested, and each is currently facing charges of armed robbery in concert, assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, discharge of a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, and being armed with a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Louis Bagliere was arrested and charged with armed robbery in concert and criminal threats.
Because of pre-existing medical conditions, Louis Bagliere was cited and released.
The other suspects were transported to the Mendocino County Jail where they are currently being held on a no-bail status.
MCSO is still searching for an unidentified suspect who fled on foot, described as a short and thin black adult male of approximately 20-30 years of age who may be armed with a firearm.
MSCO requests that anyone with information contact the Communications Center at 707-463-4086 and asks that people do not attempt to contact or detain the suspect.
