If you have never been to “The Taco Sesh” in Ontario, Ca., you don’t know what you’re missing. Wednesday night, April 5, 2017, was the one-year anniversary, and what a celebration it was.

The facilitators of this event have truly created a cannabis masterpiece. It is clear that compassionate care is the driving force with these creators. From the time patients walked through the door, there was a bevy of free meds given away. There being no cover charge also ensures patients will have the extra funds to spend with their favorite vendors.

Breaking record numbers, The Taco Sesh had 98 vendors for the first time, the previous record being 76. With patients and vendors both breaking record numbers, the venue reached maximum capacity quickly. There was still a line of patients around the building, along with vendors trying to gain entry. It was an unfortunate situation for patients and vendors to be turned away, the numbers were unexpected.

The level of camaraderie and care that was present was astounding. Understanding the financial hardships of today, their goal was to make sure product was affordable for everyone who uses cannabis for medicinal purposes. The vendors and event coordinators took to the stage numerous times, and meds were thrown out to the crowds by the boxes. That was incredible to see how observant they were as well…seeing to it that everyone had an opportunity to be gifted.

Music act Luniz took to the stage, towards the end of our gathering. We all remember the hit “I got 5 on it.” The Taco Sesh anniversary party was truly an inspiring and amazing event, with the promise of more to come. The Taco Sesh is breaking records and boundaries with incredible speed.
