In Southern California, coyotes are native to the land and it’s not uncommon to hear a pack of them howling as they pass through your neighborhood. What you might not expect to find in Coachella Valley, California, however, is a wolfpack led by a woman.
Owned and operated by Baylee Chapo, w0lfpack is a marketing and networking group that serves cannabis and CBD brands looking to increase their awareness and reach of cannabis-loving clients.
Baylee created w0lfpack to help cannabis brands market more effectively, and serve the community by also helping consumers feel connected to their purchase.
In Coachella Valley, w0lfpack is surrounded by a hotbed of compliant cannabis companies like Canndescent and the 420 friendly hotel Desert Hot Springs Inn.
“My favorite part about being in the Coachella Valley right now is witnessing the areas positive growth due to the legal cannabis industry. We are ahead of many other California regions with our acceptance of cannabis in the community, and I truly love to see the support we have in Cathedral City. I’ve been to dispensary events with the Mayor present and proud,” says Baylee.
What’s in the name “w0lfpack”?
Baylee’s been using combinations of the name “Wolfgang” and “w0lf” for years as an ode to her late dog and best friend of 10 years, Wolfgang.
“I almost always would use his name somehow, like I made a line of jams and called it “Wolfgang’s Garden.” So, when we decided to start a networking and event company that was all inclusive, “w0lfpack” popped out of Zach’s mouth. It was just an obvious choice for us. You build your own w0lfpack through our events and online!” says Baylee.
Prior to starting w0lfpack, Baylee made wedding cakes for a long time, followed by working on social media, marketing, and networking at various dispensaries.

Baylee’s favorite strain is OG Kush, and favorite new product is the Claybourne Co Power Pack, a rolling pouch designed for customizing the potency of your joint or bowl. The Power Pack comes equipped with ⅛ of flower, 1g of kief, and a kief shovel.
Where w0lfpack stands out among other cannabis marketing and networking groups is their dedication to thoroughly introducing a brand, even providing guidelines for how gift bag receivers should share the products on social media.
W0lfpack has partnered with the likes of fenix CBD, Violent Flame Medicinals, BLNCD Lifestyle, Elk Grove CBD, Bailey’s CBD, and more.
“Every part of our events has intent, unlike “seshes” etc. even our swag packs are created specifically for content creation opportunities and come with posting guides. No sales, no booths, just networking face to face,” says Baylee.
W0lfpack promotes cannabis brands by offering sponsorship packages that entail a monthly content campaign, time on @w0lfpackmentality’s Instagram Live Show, distributing product to cannabis micro-influencers, and curating events for new product feedback. W0lfpack’s event curations range from influencer photoshoots, ten person events highlighting one brand, to 60 person networking events.
“I’m most proud of the fact I get to do this business with my best friend,” explains Baylee about working with Zach Pugmire, who is also her boyfriend. “Looking at over at your business partner and feeling proud of being next to them is unbeatable,” she adds.
