Deputies with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office were called to a residence on Bolier Avenue in McKinleyville at around 3 a.m. on December 5 after receiving a report of a male subject with head injuries.
When deputies arrived, they learned that three adult males had come to the residence a short time earlier and assaulted the subject with metal bats, demanding money and cannabis.
The three suspects took over 60 pounds of cannabis trim and other items of value when they fled the scene.
The victim was examined by medical personnel and found to have sustained injuries to the head and torso and a stab wound to the chest. According to a press release by Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, the man was transported to a local hospital where he is said to be in stable condition.
The suspects are described as:
- A white male in his mid-thirties carrying a pipe or bat and wearing dark-colored cargo shorts, a black jacket, black ski mask, and black hat.
- A white male in his early twenties carrying an aluminum baseball bat and wearing dark blue jean shorts, a black jacket with a red liner, and a black neoprene mask over his face.
- A while male in his early twenties wearing all black clothing.
