Pre-rolled joints sometimes get a bad rap, but it’s not always undeserved.
Pre-rolls are notorious for their varying quality, depending on where they came from, what kind of cannabis they contain, how old they are, and how they were produced.
But determined minds and new technology have created a potential solution to the problem of low and inconsistent-quality pre-rolls.
Rethinking the Roll
Veteran-owned GreenBroz on Tuesday announced an exclusive partnership to market, distribute, and sell RollPro’s patent-pending “tru-roll” technology in U.S. and Canadian markets.
GreenBroz’s new tabletop Blackbird Rolling Center (BRC) utilizes RollPro’s tru-roll technology, which the company says solves the age-old problem of producing large quantities of high-quality pre-rolls.
According to GreenBroz, the BRC operates using radial compaction instead of directional packing, which the company says produces the highest-quality pre-rolls with maximum efficiency.
“When we started RollPros, we set out to completely rethink the pre-roll production process and design a solution unique to the marketplace,” says RollPros founder Kyle Loucks. “Using our patent-pending ‘tru-roll’ technology, we have implemented a radial compaction technique that produces a uniform density and consistency that is superior to anything else on the market. RollPros is proud to partner with an industry leader like GreenBroz, who will enable us to get these machines in the hands of producers as fast as possible.”
The BRC is a fully-automated production unit that GreenBroz says can produce more than 750 pre-rolls (filled with 0.45-0.65g) per hour with an accuracy range of plus or minus 0.03 grams, ensuring compliance.
The enclosed machine also monitors and controls temperature and humidity during production.
Quick and Clean
All surfaces that plant materials touch inside the BRC are constructed from food-grade materials or surgical steel, making them easy to clean and reducing the risk of product contamination.
The BRC saves on production time using a single 2,500-meter paper roll instead of cones, enabling the machine to produce 40,000 pre-rolls before it needs reloading.
GreenBroz CEO Cullen Raichart says that the company has always focused on providing solutions that prioritize quality.
Raichart says that once they determined that pre-roll production lacked efficient equipment to provide high-quality results, they searched for a solution.
“Partnering with RollPros is a natural fit,” says Raichart. “And we are excited to be the exclusive distribution partner to bring this new technology to the market.”
