Two cannabis technology companies are combining efforts to focus on enriching cannabis consumers’ online shopping experiences.
Cannabis consumer marketplace Leafly and eCommerce platform Jane today announced a partnership that combines Jane’s product catalog and business tools with Leafly’s consumer reach and marketplace.
Together, the companies aim to empower cannabis retailers with efficient online shopping experiences that “increase customer purchase behavior,” according to a news release.
Leafly and Jane aim to instill trust in online shopping, build stronger customer acquisition tools for retailers, and utilize consistency and automation to help dispensaries grow their eCommerce capabilities.
“Trust is the cornerstone of online shopping,” says Leafly CEO Yoko Miyashita. “The Leafly marketplace provides trustworthy, up-to-date cannabis information to help customers shop with confidence and delivers those customers through retailers’ doors. That information and connection with retailers coupled with Jane’s leading product catalog and B2B tools will power the explosion of online ordering for retailers throughout North America.”
Integrating Jane into Leafly Menu Solutions is the first step of the partnership, which will allow retailers to manage online menus from both companies in a centralized location on the Jane platform.
The result of the integration is a reduction in time and resources spent on menu management.
Retailers that use both platforms can opt to allow Jane to make real-time menu updates on Leafly.com.

Jane CEO Socrates Rosenfeld says that shared values and mutual interest in preserving the cannabis industry’s soul and integrity made it an easy decision to partner with Leafly.
“As the cannabis industry becomes increasingly digitized, the Jane platform enables dispensaries to transform their retail business into a fully automated online store in the most streamlined and community-minded way possible,” says Rosenfeld. “By empowering dispensaries, brands, and consumers alike, we are able to instill trust in the cannabis shopping experience.”
Rosenfeld says that, together with Leafly, they will set the standard for how the cannabis industry “steps into the digital world.”
The Jane platform facilitated more than than 17 million orders and $2 billion in cannabis sales transactions over the past year.
More than 120 million people visit the Leafly marketplace each year, with more than 4,500 retailers utilizing the platform in 2020.
