By now you’ve likely heard that cannabis consumers have more sex than people who abstain from weed. But, what about cannabis and masturbation?
Do cannabis users masturbate more?
Though there hasn’t been a study on masturbation frequency and cannabis use, one Redditor- “stonedfapper” sees smoking weed and masturbating as a no-brainer, “Dopamine release after dopamine release.” Stonedfapper continued that the euphoric combination has become a problem for him, stating, “This can take up to 5 hours if I have nothing better to do.”
Everything in moderation, I suppose.
Moving on, is masturbating while high better than sober?
For men, maybe not- excessively smoking weed can reportedly lower a man’s sex drive and function, aptly referred to as “weed dick.”
Luckily, women’s orgasms are not typically negatively affected by cannabis, however, in 2009 VICE scared some people with their article “Smoking Weed May Be Drying Up Your Vagina.” That’s since been found untrue, but of course, there are always exceptions to any rule; and there’s always weed lube if you need it.
Overall, cannabis and masturbation are allies; both can help you sleep, improve your mood, relieve stress, and ease aches. Though research on masturbation and cannabis is so far limited, it’s been found that cannabis and orgasms both increase endocannabinoid levels and activate the same receptors of your body’s endocannabinoid system.
