As reports posted online about Rob Gronkowski making a major comeback, fans were filled with joy. However, once one clicked on said post, it was quickly revealed he is making moves in the NFL but, it’s not to suit up and get back on the field just yet. He has partnered and is the face of the CBD line of products owned by Abacus Health.
Gronkowski has suffered immense pain and injury as a result of playing years of football for the best team in the country, the Patriots (I’m a Bostonian)! His most recent press release outlined his injuries and nine surgeries, which resulted in his retirement.
“[The injuries] took an absolute beating on my mind and my soul. I was hurt both mentally and physically, day in and day out,” Gronkowski said. “I decided to walk away from the game for one reason: I had to recover.”
“I immediately made CBDMedic part of my recovery,” Gronkowski said of his post-retirement treatment. “And now for the first time in more than a decade, I am pain-free. And that is a big deal.”
Gronkowski said his focus now is on achieving optimal health, and that in the coming weeks or the next month, a return to the NFL is not in the cards. However, if he feels safe enough at a subsequent date, Gronkowski left the gate open for a return to playing football.
Gronkowski said that his own findings caused him to choose to plead with professional sports leagues to enable active players to use CBD products to treat their injuries.
However, He would have to give up his new company if he wanted to return as cannabis-related company associations are contrary to league regulations.
