The San Diego Cannabis Farmers Market (SDCFM) has been an integral part of the San Diego cannabis community and industry for many years, having hosted a unique and diverse variety of events including job fairs and other informational and educational functions with local business professionals, educators, artists, speakers, and industry stakeholders.
The organization is rooted in compassion, with a belief in education and the promotion of cannabis-based therapy for treatment and healing of ailments, which includes bringing the community together through educational, informational, and networking-focused events, as well as social media.
The San Diego Cannabis Farmers Market has announced the second annual San Diego Cannabis+Hemp Job Fair & Business Mixer, which is free to attend, and will take place at the Hilton San Diego—Mission Valley on Saturday, January 25, 2020, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
SDCFM held its first Cannabis+Hemp Job Fair & Business Mixer at the Hilton San Diego–Mission Valley on January 5, 2019, and was met with an overwhelmingly positive response and large attendance.
The event was attended by nearly 2,500 people interested in getting their start in the cannabis and hemp industries as well as others already in the business looking for new opportunities.
The education and employment-focused event manifested out of necessity after the passage of Proposition 64 when SDCFM organizers noticed a need for employers and employees in the San Diego cannabis and hemp industries to be connected in a real-world professional environment.
“Our events are focused on bettering the San Diego cannabis community and industry together,” The Honey Flower Collective CEO Josh Caruso told Candid Chronicle. “We have always provided a platform for local residents and cannabis businesses of all kinds to intermingle with each other. We hope to bring the local cannabis community and industry to new heights through our event.”
The event offers a unique opportunity to connect with employers, employees, entrepreneurs, investors, and startups in the hemp and cannabis industries.
Attendees should be prepared to encounter qualified employees, employers, investors, and a plethora of business and networking opportunities.
Individuals seeking employment in the hemp and cannabis industries are encouraged to dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume.
In addition to cannabis and hemp industry employment opportunities, the event will feature speaker panels, demos, education, hot food, mini bar, and a vendor village.
Professionals from the cannabis and hemp industries will be speaking throughout the afternoon on a variety of relevant topics such as cultivation, licensing, and employment.
Nug Life Radio Show host and longtime cannabis industry voice Medicinal Mike will be returning as host for this year’s SDCFM’s Cannabis+Hemp Job Fair & Business Mixer.
Industry job hopefuls who are looking to gain a time advantage on the competition can purchase an Advantage Pass for $15.00 + $1.95 fee to gain admission to the event 30 minutes early.
A total of 200 Advantage Passes have been made available for the event, which is expected to be a full house.
