San Diego’s annual EarthFair environmental fair and Earth Day celebration took over Balboa Park once again on Sunday, April 28, filling the park’s streets, walkways, and lawns with multitudes of ecologically-minded individuals, organizations, activists, and vendors.
In a grassy area just east of the San Diego Air & Space Museum, Cannabis Row was a part of the day’s festivities for the third consecutive year.
Honey Flower, San Diego Cannabis Farmer’s Market, Meso Healthy, Sensi Magazine, Urbn Leaf, Plus CBD Oil, and CV Sciences sponsored the event.
CBD and hemp vendors lined the perimeter of the Cannabis Row, offering a variety of tinctures, oils, clothing, accessories, and pet products for sale.
Due to current FDA regulations, no food or drink items containing cannabinoids were available for sale during the event, but THC and CBD-free samples of certain products could be found.
At the High Style Brewing booth, the company offered virgin samples of their signature Coastal Haze and Blood Orange Haze beers which are non-alcoholic and usually infused with 10mg of THC per bottle.
Various brands of hemp-based pet supplements were also available from companies such as Pet Releaf and Phyto Animal Health.
The nearby Sun Stage presented festival-goers with music from Michael Gabriel, Cappo Kelly, MC Flow, Skunk Dub, and others throughout the day.
Visitors to the event’s VIP section were given the opportunity to relax backstage with a massage at the Meso Healthy booth, enjoy bags of BBQ plantain chips from Barnana, and experience firsthand what it’s like to grow from a seed to a full-sized tree in the Deploy Virtual Reality tent.
On two sides of the event, Urbn Leaf and MJ Tours buses welcomed visitors to come in, socialize, and medicate in a private, safe environment.
Around mid-afternoon, host Medicinal Mike took a few moments to recognize various figures in the San Diego cannabis community, including educator Christine Fallon and activist Elizabeth Wilhelm, with certificates of appreciation.
