Socati To Debut Flavorless Water-Soluble Cannabinoid Ingredients

The Texas-based Socati Corp. today announced that it will be unveiling water-soluble and flavorless cannabinoid ingredients, including cannabidiol (CBD), cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabinol (CBN), at the SupplySide West show in Las Vegas October 15-19.

Visitors to the Socati booth at SupplySide West, #7045, will have the opportunity to participate in live demonstrations of the new ingredients.

“Incorporating cannabinoids into beverages, food and topicals without altering flavor or texture of finished products has been a significant problem faced by the industry which, up to now, hasn’t had a viable commercial solution,” said Socati CEO Josh Epstein. “Through leveraging of some of the most advanced technologies in the food and beverage industry, our new ingredient offers the precision that manufacturers require to satisfy the rapidly growing consumer demand for products containing CBD and other cannabinoids.”

Using advanced microencapsulation technology, Socati’s cannabinoid ingredients will enable manufacturers to make unique and customizable formulations without the need for emulsifiers, additional flavoring, surfactants, or other treatments.

According to Socati, microencapsulation allows for the integration of natural antioxidants and antimicrobials to extend shelf life as well as the addition of functional ingredients such as vitamins.

Socati also uses a proprietary chromatographic process to ensure that CBD and other compounds extracted from hemp remain in the final product while THC levels remain below detectable levels during commercial lab testing.

Socati reports that they are currently formulating a custom solution for a client containing vitamin B12, CBG, CBD, and fruit flavor for functionality testing.
