America’s Finest City is now officially California’s first city to have a state-licensed adult-use cannabis outlet ready for 2018 when legal sales are finally allowed in the state. Founded in 2014, the San Diego-based Torrey Holistics co-op initially obtained a dispensary license from the city and opened their doors in 2015 after navigating a year-long approval process.
With the possession of a local cannabis license being a primary requirement for anyone wishing to obtain one from the state, Torrey Holistics was already in good standing to be one of the premier recipients of a permit. The company’s devotion to providing superb customer service, quality products, and a safe, clean environment made them an excellent candidate to help usher the state into the new era of legal cannabis.
“We are honored and grateful that the state has placed its faith in Torrey Holistics,” said founder Tony Hall in a recent statement. “As proponents of regulation, we did our best to get out in front of the changes ahead and to be diligent during the licensing process, but we hope our long-standing commitment to being San Diego’s safe and reliable choice for legal cannabis spoke well for us. Now that our Adult-Use license has been granted, we will turn our focus to job creation and expansion to accommodate demand in the region.”
The Candid Chronicle would like to thank Torrey Holistics for being such a diligent and honorable representative of the San Diego cannabis community, and offer our congratulations for becoming the first dispensary in California to receive an adult-use license. We are proud to have such a respected local company positioned at the forefront of the new world of legal cannabis in California.
Very exciting
