Charlo Greene is a revolutionary woman, a force in cannabis. As a freedom fighter, activist, serial entrepreneur, business startup coach, and best selling author of the modern manual on manifestation,” F*ck It: A Guide to Letting Go & Living Free, it seems like Charlo just… doesn’t stop.

And, yes, people have tried to stop her. You may remember when Charlo made headlines in 2014.

At the time, Charlo was a broadcaster for KTVA, an Alaskan news station that was covering the story of Alaska Cannabis Club launching a campaign to legalize cannabis in the state. As it turned out, Charlo owned Alaska Cannabis Club. Charlo revealed herself as the owner before quitting her job on live television. Charlo stated she was going to dedicate all of her energy towards fighting for “freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska.”

Then she went on to do just that- fighting for freedom and fairness. Even if it meant putting her own freedom at risk.

“I’m looking at 54 years in jail for creating the Alaska Cannabis Club, in case any of you guys don’t know that,” – Charlo Greene, The Weed Show

In 2016, Alaska Cannabis Club was raided, and Greene was charged with ten felonies and four misdemeanor counts. Although the raid occurred after Alaska had legalized cannabis, it was prior to any Alaskan businesses receiving permits.

Food for thought; black people are arrested over ten times more than white people for cannabis crimes in Alaska.

Greene could potentially face up to 54 years in prison. She’s been out on bail for over two years, and has to decide if she’ll go to trial or take a plea deal. We say fight, Charlo. If you’d like to join the conversation on what Charlo should do- head to the conversation.

Charlo is brilliant, innovative, and while trucking through adversity, she’s likewise providing education for others to enter into the cannabis industry. Free resources, like her Cannabis Startup Webinar, 6 Biggest Mistakes to Avoid while entering the cannabis industry, and 101 Cannabis Jobs you Can Create or Fill Today offer up useful insider knowledge that strengthens the community.

“I’ve experienced pain on every level imaginable and I know what it means to hold a grudge, to want to see justice delivered. And I know how that eats away at your soul. I’m going to teach you to let go. Not to quit or to acquiesce, but to put pain in its place and use it to fuel your progress, not your stagnation.” – Charlo Greene

Considering that the American cannabis market is owned largely by white men, Charlo’s voice must continue to be amplified by the community she serves.

It probably goes without saying, but Charlo is undeniably picturesque. Yet, her beauty extends far beyond physical; she is giving, educating, loving, and uplifting people with every ounce of energy. That type of love is so integral to the community.

There’s no way to quantify number of lives that Charlo has impacted, and continues to change, but it’s safe to say she’s a legend. Thank you Charlo.
