The popular San Francisco-based cannabis delivery service, Eaze has announced that they have expanded operations into Portland, Oregon, making it the company’s first expansion outside of California since they began in 2014.
Eaze does not actually manufacture, stock, or sell any cannabis products; they partner with independently licensed dispensaries that deliver to certain cities in California.
Eaze has partnered with Oregon-based Kaleafa to expand access to cannabis products in Portland’s thriving market.
Kaleafa CEO Julie Widmer says that they partnered with Eaze so they could serve more customers at a faster pace. She says the delivery company’s values aligned with Kaleafa’s focus on creating a safe, education-focused environment which is empathetic for all customers.
“Launching in Oregon is a pivotal moment for Eaze. After supporting more than three million legal deliveries in California, we’re proud to team up with Kaleafa as our first Oregon partner to deliver to Portland,” said Eaze President and CEO, Ro Choy in a press release. “Kaleafa is a family-owned business committed to providing a premier cannabis experience, and we hope it’s the first of many partnerships in Oregon.”
Portland Business Alliance president and CEO, Andrew Hoan welcomed the new partnership between Eaze and Kaleafa to expand the city’s access to legal cannabis. He said that such collaborations align with their mission to strengthen small businesses and local economies and provide personalized customer service.
Oregon approved medical cannabis in 1998, and adult-use in 2014.
