Pet Releaf Becomes First Pet CBD Company To Receive Certification From U.S. Hemp Authority

Colorado-based cannabidiol (CBD) and hemp pet product manufacturer, Pet Releaf today announced that it has become the first pet-only CBD company to receive U.S. Hemp Authority (USHA) certification.

Pet Releaf is also a USDA-certified organic company.

The USHA certification program focuses on promoting high standards, best practices, self-regulation, and providing confidence to consumers and law enforcement that hemp products are legal and safe to use.

“As a leader shaping the hemp industry, we have made it our mission to help set the bar on industry standards for safety and quality, particularly as they relate to the overall health of pets,” says Pet Releaf co-founder and president Steve Smith. “The intense hemp-specific audits required to achieve U.S. Hemp Authority Certification are far superior to supplement certifications because they are overseen by the most knowledgeable hemp experts on the planet.”

Smith says that the company is honored to be awarded the USHA seal and strongly encourages pet owners everywhere to demand USHA certification on any CBD product that they give to their animal companions.

The goal of the USHA program is to conduct comprehensive third-party audits of a company’s full manufacturing process, which is supervised by the Where Food Comes From food verification company.

For a hemp-based product to gain the USHA seal, a company’s farmers, processors, and manufacturing facilities must all pass audits.

Products that bear the USHA seal are certified for safety, traceability, transparency, and legality from the time that the hemp is planted to when the final products are placed on a retail shelf.

Pet Releaf says that the USHA seal and their USDA organic certification is proof positive that their products are completely legal and the industry’s safest, most transparent, and traceable pet products from start to finish.
