On Wednesday night I had the pleasure of attending the first Women’s Wellness Wednesday presented by CannaPride.
This event was held in the Manpower downtown buildings’ courtyard. I wasn’t sure about this location until I arrived to find a very tranquil courtyard where many vendors had set up their booths, as well as classroom style office. I did enjoy how easy the location was to get to and park, we all know how this can be very difficult here in San Diego.
I was checked into the event by Kayla’s mother and given a raffle ticket. When I walked into the courtyard, I was able to see CannaPride’s booth first. CannaPride specializes in CBD products. They carry full-spectrum and ISO Isolate CBD Oil, creams, water, treats, bath bombs, and soaps, as well as CBD pet products. All their items are also fully tested and made in the USA! My next stop was at to the Violet Flame Medicinal booth, I was given a wonderful free sample of their CBD Raw Blue Agave Nectar… so good! Violet Flames carries a selection of vegan, raw, and organic CBD treats such as agave nectar, maple syrup, garlic butter, and maple butter. Mari (@bbymari_) was selling her cool shirt designs. Think Hemp Chicks had a table full of infused candies, CBD Oil, and tons of cute pipes and accessories. Cannarator was onsite selling limited memberships. Mary Jane’s Beauty had a table full of wonderful CBD infused skin care items. Sage Gatherings had a very cute table with glass and wood stash jars, and loads of gold accessories. While I waited on my free massage, I was able to get a free card reading from Gypsea Rebel, which was spot on!! After my reading, Cynthia from Traveling Hands Massage gave me a wonderful free chair massage in which I feel asleep.
While the vendor tables were amazing and had special event deals, the key reason Tara and Kayla from CannaPride wanted to bring people together is for EDUCATION! Education is the key.
The classroom style room next to the courtyard was set up with free vegan and gluten free food as well as wine samples! The education part of the night started off with Alanna from The Planets Patient, speaking about cannabis, CBD vs THC, and safety. Next up was Angelina who spoke about how CBD works in the body, what to look for when purchasing, and proper storage. We ended the night with the first viewing of the film called Us Too, this documentary is about the mistreatment of women and men in the entertainment industry.
It was great to spend time, learn, and have fun with many other like-minded individuals in our area. While I did not win the raffle, there were 10 wonderful gifts given throughout the night.
